The Cupboard – A Paranormal Experience

Hey there, Sparklers ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m not really sure what to make of this, so I thought I’d share it with you to see what your opinions are.

I have a cupboard in my bedroom that’s built into the wall. I’ve always found it slightly creepy for as long as I can remember, and I can only sleep at night if it’s completely closed. When I was younger, my foster sister had a doll named George, and when she moved to London, she left George in our flat. He scared me so much that I kept him in the cupboard and never brought him out. I was positive he was possessed or something.

We finally got rid of the doll, but the freaky feeling didn’t go away. If the cupboard wasn’t closed properly, I’d lay there all night staring at it, expecting something to come out and get me. I couldn’t get out of bed to close it, it was like I was paralysed.

Fast forward to the early hours of this morning, about 2am, I was in bed watching YouTube videos. I came across an Urban Legends story about black eyed children. When I find things like this, I just HAVE to watch them. Curiosity takes over and I have to see what it’s all about and whether it’s obviously fake or whether there’s a possibility it could be real.

It definitely wasn’t the smartest idea to watch that in bed at 2am, and it left me feeling freaked out and slightly paranoid. When I watch scary things on my own at night, my mind goes into overdrive and I’m constantly expecting something to jump out at me.

So I lay there in silence, my eyes darting around the room, and the cupboard doors start to open on their own. No draft, and the doors are actually stiff, they require a good old tug to open them. My worst nightmare was starting to come true. It looked as if someone had given them a good push from the inside to unstick them, and as it was pitch black inside, I couldn’t actually see anything. But I could sense something. I sensed something that wasn’t supposed to be there, something dark and menacing.

I jumped out of bed, grabbed my daughter and ran into the front room. Neither of us were sleeping in that room. I put Alexa on one sofa, and I slept on the other. I had Christmas movies playing in the background as well as a fire crackling, just to ease my nerves so I could drift off.

One lesson I’ve learned is: NEVER watch something scary on your own in the middle of the night. It seriously messes with your head and you can no longer tell what’s real and what’s not.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and I’d love to hear your opinions on this experience!

See you soon ๐Ÿ™‚

Santa Baby…

Hey there, Sparklers ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s official. I’m now in full Christmas mode. I can’t contain my excitement any longer and it looks like Christmas has exploded in my house. BUT I LOVE IT!

Just one of our Christmas trees, and possibly my favourite one.ย

A few hours ago, I decided to build Alexa’s mini indoor trampoline which I got for her birthday a couple of months ago but never actually got round to putting it up for her.

So, while part of me was almost ripping my hair out because Alexa was sat in the middle of the poles and taking the pieces I needed when I wasn’t looking, the rest of me just couldn’t get annoyed because I was too busy listening to Christmas songs and singing them horribly at the top of my voice.

But instead of Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, I was Rockin’ Around the Trampoline with a very confused toddler staring at me.

Once I FINALLY tackled the trampoline and showed Alexa what to do (she looked like Bambi on ice), I decided that tonight is going to be a proper chill-out night.
So, now I’m all cozy on my sofa with a warm blanket, writing this with a Chinese on the way and the Xmas 24 channel is on our TV and will probably stay on for the rest of the night.

I’m so very happy and content right now! (And slightly amused watching Alexa attempt to jump on the trampoline).

I hope you all have a lovely, relaxed Sunday night just as I’m doing ๐Ÿ™‚
See you soon!!

Hey there, Sparklers ๐Ÿ™‚

So, in the last twenty minutes or so, something happened which left me thinking “I just HAVE to blog about this!” so I am.

Long story short, after buying a lot of new things for our home, we ended up with a LOT of cardboard boxes and junk we just didn’t want or need anymore that wasn’t worth passing on to other people, so we hired a skip.

We decided to start filling it straight away, starting with emptying our indoor shed as it is literally full to the ceiling with cardboard boxes of all sizes.

My mum stayed upstairs keeping an eye on Alexa for me whilst my dad and I made a few trips down to the skip.

Now, we live in a cul-de-sac (or a square, as we call it) and our flat is hidden away from the street lights so it’s pitch black outside.

We were doing quite well when we were taking all the general rubbish down. Then it came to the cardboard. I decided, to make things a whole lot easier, that I’d take our biggest cardboard box and fill it with other cardboard boxes and bits of paper until it was full to the brim and quite heavy. I was proud of myself, because I’d thought of something that meant making less trips to and from the skip, which was placed on the grass outside of the cul-de-sac. I’m a genius, right?

WRONG. The first problem was that the box was too big to fit through the front door. So, my dad and I performed a full on “to me, to you” scene from Chuckle Vision just to get it through. That in itself was quite funny to me.

Still baring in mind it’s pitch black outside, my neighbours cat shot past our garden gate just as I was about to squeeze through and frightened the living daylights out of me. All I saw was a black mass shoot past me. It could have been a ghost for all I knew.

It scared me so much that I screamed and dropped everything, which in turn scared my dad so he jumped and dropped everything too.

There we were, stood in a sea of cardboard boxes, bent over with shock, laughing at each other until we were nearly wetting ourselves.

That was when I decided we should be the next generation Chuckle Brothers. We’d pretty much become them without realising, and I haven’t laughed that much in a long time.

I hope you enjoyed reading this little post and I’ll see you soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey there, Sparklers ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m not a happy bunny tonight. I’m just one big fail technology-wise.

Tonight I was supposed to be uploading my weekly video to YouTube. I haven’t even filmed it yet because my memory card has a fault. I don’t want to film it on my phone again because the quality of my last video was TERRIBLE no matter what I did to try and improve it.

Of course, as soon as I realised my memory card was faulty and my camera was flat-out refusing to accept it, I ordered a new one. IT STILL HASN’T ARRIVED.

To make things worse, I’m a person of order and planning. I won’t let anyone know anything unless I’m SURE it’s happening. So the fact that I announced on social media that a new video would be up tonight, then not being able to stick to my word made me want to have a breakdown.

I spent all day yesterday sorting out my bloody box lights with a cranky toddler screaming in my ear and distracting me every 5 minutes (her molars are coming through so I’ll let her off) so I could do all the filming and beย ready to edit (I left it till the last minute, I know), and THEN my memory card malfunctioned.

I think it’s safe to say technology hates me. And I’m pretty damn close to hating it just as much.

This pretty much sums up my stress levels right now.

I’m hoping things go my way again pretty soon, so that I can stop stressing and moaning to you guys (sorry!).

See you soon!

Lots of love,

Winter Is Here!!!

Hey there, Sparklers ๐Ÿ™‚

Eeeeek, I’m so glad winter’s properly here now. Want to know why? CHRISTMAS!!!!!

This morning I took my daughter for a walk and my ears nearly froze off.
Alexa had her cute little wellies on and her pink winter coat with the hood up. She could hardly see a thing, bless her!

I wore the thickest jumper I own (which was my first time wearing it from when I bought it as it just wasn’t cold enough to wear), some leggings and my Timberlands. But silly me tied my hair up and forgot to wear a hat. My ears were so cold they hurt.

At one point I actually thought I had frost bite.

Going into your toasty, warm house after a brisk walk in the FREEZING COLD is absolute bliss. It’s the best feeling,ย you just want to curl up in a ball and embrace the warmth. Which I did, and that ended up with me falling asleep… Ooops.

I’m so excited to put all the Christmas decorations up. Normally they’re up by the 1st November because I get too impatient, but this time I’m just too knackered and I definitely DON’T have the patience to attack the bloody tree lights. Why do they always get so tangled?!?!

If anyone has any tips on how to prevent this, please tell me and I will literally love you forever. Literally.

The thing I’m most excited for is the fact that this Christmas, Alexa will start to take notice of things; like Santa and presents and the magical feeling in the air.

I guarantee you that my Christmas tree (well, ONE of my Christmas trees) will be in the background of next week’s video for YouTube. Not this week’s as it’s already been filmed and I’m in zombie-mum mode at the moment. Basically I just can’t be arsed.

I know it’s early but I just can’t help myself.
I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it! ๐Ÿ˜›

Hey there, Sparklers! ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s official. I now have a YouTube account and my first video is now up!!!

It’s just a little bit of in introduction to my channel, including bloopers at the end.

Watch the video here:

As I mention on the video, I’m planning on doing either a Q&A or a “Would You Rather” for my next video. I’m not sure which one I want to do, so I’ll let you guys decide. So send me your suggestions via:

Which ever one I end up doing, I want lots of fun and interesting questions. Not “what’s your favourite colour” or “would you rather sleep all the time or never sleep at all” … BORING.

I’m also going to stop blogging daily, and make it 2 or 3 times a week instead of every single day, especially with having a YouTube channel now as well.

So from now on, every week you’ll get 2-3 blogs and a YouTube video. I think that’s pretty fair ๐Ÿ˜›

Thanks for all the support you’re giving me, and I hope you enjoy my videos as much as you enjoy my blogs!!!

Lots of love,

A Crazy Little Thing Called… YouTube?!

Hey there, Sparklers! ๐Ÿ™‚

Let me know what type of videos you want me to do and I’ll try to do them all. (Over time, of course!)

All ideas will be taken into account, especially challenge videos that involve other people too, they’re always a lot more fun!!!
